Charlotte Tilbury Quick N Easy Kits - Red Carpet Look

Charlotte Tilbury has been one of my favourite make-up brands for a while now. I am never disappointed with the products, the quality or the performance and I'm always quick to snap up the new goodies that hit their website. The Quick N Easy Kits that became the newest products in the extensive Charlotte Tilbury collection, are something that I've been very excited about. My personal top pick is the Red Carpet Look set because it's got everything I need and want when it comes to Charlotte Tilbury products.

Top 10 Blog Photo Props & Where To Buy Them

When it comes to blog imagery, your props go a long way. Whether you like to have a more natural, styled look with lots of props, or keep things simple with just a few key pieces - both (and the in-between) are reliant on some versatile objects that can be re-used a lot. The difficulty is finding the right sort of products, the right household items to fit with your blog, your style of photo and also finding something that can be used indefinitely without making your images look too samey. So because of that, I've put together a list of my top ten blog photo props, and to make it easy, I've also listed exactly where you can buy them too.

A Little Bit of Big News

So you may have thought it's been a tad quiet on Lady Writes, especially during January. But I can now finally explain why! No, I haven't lost my love and passion for blogging, beauty products and hoarding make-up, but instead I've been growing a little one! Yep, Lady Writes is pregnant. And the Lady Writes family couldn't be happier.

My Annual Skin Detox With Natural Spa Factory

My skin is changing a lot at the moment and I've gone from having an amazing skin month, to break outs, dry patches and oily areas - all in one. It's been a bit of a skin roller coaster! The problem with changing skin types is that they're hard to treat and combat with a standard regime because each area of your face needs a different type of care. Because of this I decided that January was my time for a skin detox - which is something I've been meaning to do for a while. I try to do one a year, for a full month, which basically means that within that time frame I abandon my trusty skincare staples and replace with a new regime to detox my face. I almost always go for something natural - just because by the time I reach the need for a detox, natural feels better than anything else...Wouldn't really be a detox otherwise would it?!

Clarins New Face Contour Palette - The Low Down

As you all know I'm a big fan of contouring. In fact, I've got powders, creams and palettes galore offering different coverage levels and abilities. Mostly because I dislike how round my face shape is, and good contouring means I can create shadows that stop me feeling like it's quite so circular. The palette I've been using recently is the brand new Clarins Face Contour Palette and I've got all the details and the low down on what to expect..

2017 - Here's To The Micro-Influencers

There's been a lot of rumblings in the blogasphere recently. When it comes to blogging, the media perception is that the bigger you are, the better you are. And by bigger, I mean: the bigger your following. Which in itself is breeding a huge problem among hard working, honest bloggers. Especially because there seems to be this mentality among some others that you can just 'fake it till you make it' and reach that 'big blogger' status - whether it's true...or not by fiddling the numbers. (As is the case may be for some very well known bloggers and even celebrities.)

Budget Beauty - What's New From Rimmel

Considering that the vast majority of my make-up comes from counter and premium brands, I'm still never able to resist the buzz and hype that seems to grow continuously around the drugstore brands these days. It seems that these said 'drugstore' brands are battling that little bit harder for their slice of the beauty market, and as a result there have been some pretty nifty products to hit shelves recently. Being a self confessed make-up snob, I thought this year would be a great time to delve into these brands a little bit more, and if nothing else, it would make great comparison posts between high-end and drugstore products! So I'm starting with Rimmel and what's new from them in the first of my Budget Beauty posts.
