Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Palette Review & Swatches

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Palette Review

Another day, another eyeshadow palette. Today it’s my Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Review with Swatches

If you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know that I hoard eyeshadow palettes and have a magpie like attraction to them. My husband frequently questions my ever-growing collection and can’t understand why one girl needs *that* many eyeshadows. And quite honestly there’s no way I’d ever use every pan I currently have in my life time, let alone all the others I’ve still to buy (yay!) And yet still I buy more, which I feel zero regret about by the way. Because ultimately we’re all allowed a vice or two, and palettes are very clearly one of mine.

My most recent addition was the new Amrezy collaboration palette from Anastasia Beverly Hills which admittedly wasn’t ever not going to come home with me. I’ve got pretty much every Anastasia Beverly Hills palette and I think of myself as a collector really. While some I use religiously and have hit pan on my favourite shades, there’s also some that I just like to look at and swoon from time to time. Don’t judge me.

The Amrezy Palette though will be one I can see myself reaching for a lot thanks to it’s warm everyday tones that will work with any type of eye look. The good mixture of terracota and warm matte tones creates the base for pretty much every type of eye look I create as it’s my go-to for the crease and transition. There’s also the amazing shimmers and more glittery finishes within the palette to pop on the lids and you’ve got an instant eye look sorted. So in my opinion this is definitely one of the more useable ABH palettes in their range.

While you will still see that trademark pop of colour with the bright blue and an almost neon looking pink, the other 14 shades are more everyday – which is what we’re all here for if we’re honest, right? So I thought two shades I won’t wear that much was still enough for me to purchase the palette. Plus the variation of finishes across matte, shimmer and glitter means that I won’t have to reach for other products in my collection unless I really wanted to. Despite loving palettes I do try to only splurge on ones that offer me more shadows I’ll use, than not.

When the palette arrived I felt really excited, which despite having more palettes than I care to admit is something that still happens every time a new one arrives. I never lose the buzz and each one makes me swoon a bit – I told you I love them! This one was no different thanks to the gorgeous and totally me, bright pink and glitter casing. When I swatched the products themselves I was really pleased to notice that the quality was every bit as impressive as I’d expect from Anastasia Beverly Hills. Their shadows have always offered high pay off and performance (except that one palette that no-one talks about.) And that refers to both the mattes and the shimmers which is no mean feat. I also find the ABH mattes to be quite dry – ina good way – because wonderfully they don’t flake or fall out. Despite being a dry and powdery formula, the mattes blend well and apply easily which is actually less common than you’d think. Mattes just seem to be a bit harder to master for the manufacturers I think, whereas a shimmer finish is easier to create with a creamy texture. The fact that the Amrezy palette has nailed both means it’s easy to call the shades further examples of the ABH one-swipe wonder, as you can see below…

For me the Amrezy palette is a great eyeshadow selection that’s versatile enough to suit lots of every day looks. If you’re looking to try ABH for the first time you wouldn’t be at all disappointed with this as the colour selection is usable and adaptable to all skin tones. There’s a good selection of shades, the right combination of finishes and the quality you’d want when spending £49 on a palette. Admittedly that may be pricey but remember it’s offering 16 shades so that works out at £3.06 each, which isn’t actually that bad, right?

The only problem now is finding one as it’s selling out fast. So snap yours up here before it’s gone.

I completely agree with you that a matte that’s a little more dry but still blends well is the best kind of formula, especially when it comes to darker colours. I’m not a fan of warmer tones on my skin tone so this one isn’t going to be making its way to my basket but it’s really pretty and the swatches look beautiful x
