It’s an affordable, gift-worthy collection and the No7 x Alexandra Shulman collection has taken things to the next level…
If you follow me on Instagram then you’ll have seen that a few weeks ago I went to an amazing event as No7 launched their exclusive and limited edition collection with none other than Alesandra Shulman. The former Vogue editor has collaborated with No7 to create two stunning and unique collections that will meet all your beauty and gifting needs this Christmas.
Within the two collections there are three individual gift sets to pick from so there’s a total of six offerings overall – plenty to stock up on rather than pick between, right ladies?! Each of the two collections has it’s own theme and style in order to appeal to different types of women. What I like about the collections and the collaboration between Alexandra and No7 as a whole, is that it’s bringing a touch of glamour, a touch of Vogue (see what I did there) to an everyday brand name in the beauty world.
No7 has massively upped its game in recent years. It’s no longer a brand that your Mum wears, but something we as millennials can and do enjoy frequently too. For me, I love how affordable they are and their Gift Sets at Christmas are always on my wish-list. Their products are useable, versatile and perfect for everyday – they’re a brilliant and budget-friendly brand for all women to enjoy. But now this collaboration adds some more elite style to their range – and I’m all for it! Alexandra said that “No7 encapsulates my philosophy that fashion and beauty should be pleasures that are available to all at an affordable price.” And that’s exactly what I feel that this collaboration offers – style that everyone can enjoy and afford.
So let’s take a peak, shall we?
First up we have Decorative Nature which is all about colour and texture and has been styled with a nod to heritage – which I can see from the designs and the shades of the products. Apparently this set contains some of Alexandra’s favourite No7 products, so it gives the confidence that you’re using something that’s tried, tested and received the ultimate seal of approval.
There are two smaller sets in the Decorative Nature range, but I like the Your Best Face set because it’s got the best of the best inside. And it’s almost a full kit really. Inside this one you’ll find everyday staples to complete your make up regime with – and to me this collection is very much about everyday beauty that’s just a bit better, a bit more snazzy and like the icing on the cake in your beauty regime. Inside the beautiful pouch you’ll find the most stunning highlighter which is pure gold with champagne tones and perfect for everyday. It’s subtle when worn, so not too extreme, but it’s going to naturally enhance your features. It’s pretty and subtle enough for everyday but powerful enough to catch the light and add some lovely shimmer – exactly what you want from your everyday highlighter. And you also get a full sized powder brush to apply it liberally with. Tip for winter: dash across your collarbones before your Christmas party for a subtle but lovely body glow too.
You’ll also find a No7 Eyeshadow palette which comes in a round compact and is all swirled together so it’s super pretty to look at! The shades blend neutral tones with a pop of colour in the deep blue accent shade. Which might scare you but actually the formula is nice and subtle so even those who get scared at coloured eyeshadows should find this is a nice shade to experiment with. There’s also a matching nail polish to pull your look together.
In addition there’s also one of the No7 Exceptional Definition Mascara’s which is a great staple for everyday, and one of the most beautiful lipsticks I’ve ever seen from the brand – their Sheer Temptation Lipstick in the shade Shy Pink which is shimmery, pink and neutral. It’s the most perfect everyday lip colour and will perfectly compliment the eyeshadow colours when worn.
So like I said, the Decorative Nature range offers everyday vibes – but just amped up a little. You’re encourage to push the limits of what you know to be everyday and still feel good about yourself and the products you’re using. And the whole Your Best Face Set is only £30 and part of the famous Christmas 3 for 2.
The second collection is the Graphic Abstract which, and I quote, “Is for the woman who likes to open up the box and think outside of it.” So if you like to have fun with colour and really play with your make up, experimenting with new styles and looks – then this collection is going to be right up your street.
The Embrace Your Face set also comes in a cosmetic bag, this one is designed with abstract patterns all over and more ‘clean’ in style – but definitely more artistic! This one is £25 and also included in the Christmas 3 for 2 so technically you could get both and an extra as a gift for someone else, right?!
Inside you’ll find all full sizes and the No7 Airbrush Away Radiance Boosting Primer is the first item that caught my eye. It’s a game-changer if you want to add radiance to your complexion in a natural way. Applied underneath your foundation, it will give skin a radiant glow that shines through and makes you look relaxed and refreshed. You could also add to foundation if you wanted to apply that way too.
There’s also two beautiful eyeshadows here – one in a creamy pearl/white tone and the other in a gunmetal/khaki shade that offers a great eye look when worn together. You’ve got two perfect shades for party season shadows there, but they’re also the sorts of tones you’ll find you reach for throughout the year as well. And you get a Stay Perfect Eye Pencil to fully line the eyes and finish your look. If you like smokey eyes as a make up style, you’ll absolutely love this collection.
In addition you get the most gorgeous and everyday plum pink lipstick. Plum is usually ideal in the colder months but this one has just enough pink in it so that you’d not be out of place wearing it come next spring or summer. It’s great for women who like deeper colour on their lips without being too overwhelming – it’s the perfect middle ground for a bold lipstick.
As you can see both elements of the collection offer different styles but ultimately they both offer glamour that women of all ages can enjoy. The colours are useable, the products are the sort of things you’d reach for daily and the prices mean they’re affordable too. As a collection they’ve ticked pretty much every box for me. And I can imagine that women of all different make up using levels will enjoy these kits especially.
So if you want to add some Vogue-esque glamour to your No7 collection then check the whole No7 x Alexandra Shulman collection out. While they’re on 3 for 2 you may as well stock up.
