Pre-holiday shopping at World Duty Free just got even more exciting as Charlotte Tilbury launches in store!
If you’re anything like me and love your pre-holiday beauty shopping in World Duty Free before you jet off, then you’ll be pleased to hear that your next visit is likely to be even better because Charlotte Tilbury has launched in-store! One of the ultimate brands, and one I’d long since hoped would someday be available at duty free prices, this summer saw Heathrow Terminal 5 open it’s first counter for the brand. And even if you’re not flying from there, you can shop ahead using Reserve & Collect on your way through and you won’t miss out. Pretty good news for travelling beauty fans right?
Aside from being the Queen of beauty, Charlotte Tilbury as a brand offer some really high performance products. And I’ve yet to dislike anything I’ve tried from them. So, with such a huge selection of genuinely great products it can be hard to know what to pick up before your holiday. So being the shopping angel that I am, I’ve got some top picks that I recommend…
Now this is the holiday make up purchase that you’ll want on the top of your list. Nothing makes more of a statement than a great bronzer in your beauty bag when you travel, so I highly recommend picking up the Filmstar Bronze & Glow. It’s an iconic duo inside the most sophisticated compact in the trademark Charlotte Tilbury gold. The powders themselves offer your perfect contour shades with one darker brown to chisel the cheekbones and one lighter cream colour with a lot of shimmery goodness to highlight the cheekbones. While the darker shade does also have a small amount of shimmer inside, it’s a very cool tone colour which means it works perfectly on pale skin (I have the light-medium version, there’s also one for medium-dark) and doesn’t look muddy. The subtle shimmer catches the light, emphasises the natural shape of your cheekbones and allows you to create a timeless complexion. I’ve repurchased this multiple times over the years – it’s a staple product. So naturally you’ll love showing off your tan with this to compliment it.
Another must-have for a holiday purchase (that can then be added to your everyday looks once home) is the Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow. Which is a product I’ve used many, many times and you’ll have seen me use it in my YouTube tutorials a lot too.
Wonderglow is a universally flattering primer that’s like liquid gold. Applied to the skin before make up, it gives a golden bronze look that’s natural enough for everyone and great for when you want a dewy finish to your make up. It’s also got that perfect golden shimmer (it’s very fine though so completely natural looking) which means it will completely show off your travelling tan! Applied to the collarbones and shoulders is a great way to use it too. Alternatively add to moisturiser or foundation and you’ll have just the most subtle edge of shimmer, if that’s more your style.
If you’re looking for an everyday lipstick to take on holiday and then keep on your persons forever, then the brand new Hot Lips 2 Collection is for you. There are some simply stunning lipsticks in this range and my personal favourite has to currently be Dancefloor Princess. It’s the perfect everyday nude tone pink and it compliments my skin wonderfully. I love how absolutely Charlotte Tilbury nail the nude tones in every product, and this lipstick is a shining example of it.
With a very tiny amount of shimmer (but you don’t notice it when worn) combined with the creamy finish, this lipstick makes lips look like a natural and prettier version of themselves. It’s flirty, girlie and I can’t get enough of it. Especially when you get it in the seriously sexy leopard bullet (the Hot Lips 2 Range are refillable and inter-changeable – yay!)
Now this is one of those products that you can pick up and use asap because if you’re not scared of doing so, then apply this dry sheet mask on the plane. It’s going to give you a pamper session mid-flight that means your skin won’t show the signs of being stuck in the air for hours. No-one likes how the air on a plane can affect your skin – it’s drying to the max and my skin always feels fatigued and stressed afterwards. So using a great mask is a fab way of avoiding this.
The Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Dry Sheet Mask isn’t wet at all, it’s completely dry (duh – the name) so it can feel a bit odd the first time you use it. However it sits on the skin for 15 minutes and releases the vitamins, peptides and oils that it’s infused with directly onto the skin. These are absorbed quickly and without mess, which makes it a winner in my books – and perfect for holidays too. Each mask can be used up to 3 times each as well, so it’s a great one to buy at the airport, use once on your trip to your destination, once while there and once on the way home. Travel skincare sorted.
I’ve reviewed this in full before because it’s one of those products that everyone’s always curious about. The claims behind Charlotte’s Magic Cream and it’s accompanying price tag has meant that everyone wants to know what it’s really like….
It was created to help models who were suffering with tired skin during Fashion Week and since then it’s earned cult status as a magic moisturiser. Having used it myself I can see why it’s been so well received. It’s a nice everyday moisturiser and keeps skin feeling soft, supple and nourished. I don’t get dry patches when I use this and my skin seems to look and feel more hydrated very quickly when I use this daily. There’s a lot of vitamins within it which help to perk the skin up so it’s great if you need to see a skin improvement fast, or when skin looks tired and feels dull. If you’re looking for a moisturiser that can also act as a primer then this is a good option because it creates a nice canvas for your make up.
So if you’re travelling some time soon then these are some really great picks to try from Charlotte Tilbury. Seeing as you can now shop the range at World Duty Free, it would be rude not to mark the occasion and treat yourself to something next time you’re off on your holidays.
To me, anything with a bit of shimmer, a bit of bronzer or a multipurpose skincare product will always be a great choice in the pre-holiday beauty shopping stakes, and now you can get them at duty free prices too. Not sure what else you could possibly want to be honest!
