Yes, you heard it here first – L’Occitane, the amazing skincare brand with a high quality reputation have branched out into colour cosmetics (make up) with a launch of lipsticks and I am SO excited!
It appears that the launch of the brand new lipsticks from L’Occitane were not only just exciting for me, but also for a lot of people who commented on my Instagram post about it! Despite the algorithm causing havoc the past 10 days, Instagram seemed to be surprised to hear about the new launch and all the comments I received were saying the same – there is mucho excitement about it!
Previously best-known for skincare and beauty beauty products, L’Occitane do some of my favourite everyday essentials. Their hand creams for example are amazing and I featured their Almond Shower Shake last month as a key product to treat yourself too on pay day. One of those beautifully crafted brands, their quality of products is top level and never disappointing so when I saw the lipsticks, I knew I needed to try them out.
Without even seeing them, I knew they’d be good. And I wasn’t disappointed.
The new collection comprises of eight lipstick shades and they’re called Fruity Lipsticks because they’re infused with different fruit oils and vitamins to ensure they’re nourishing, moisturising and leave skin soft and supple. The fruit oils and vitamins also contribute to the delicious light scent that each shade has – they all smell so yummy! And also because of this they’re vegetarian friendly too – gotta love green beauty, right?
The finish of the lipsticks is creamy and with a slight sheen that’s natural and catches the light. They apply very much like a balm, with a soft texture and it’s very rich in payoff so you’re covered for a full coloured pout after each use! Nice and shiny is my kinda lipstick finish, so these are right up my street for sure! And what’s more is that they give a lovely and shiny finish without containing any hint of silicone – winner.
So let’s take a look at the swatches! As mentioned there are 8 shades and I’ve swatched 7, so hopefully you’ll get an indication of which shade to try yourself…
While they coat the lips in shiny colour that looks great, they’re also nourishing and moisturising too – which means they’re a pretty great lipstick addition to invest in.
Grab the Fruity Lipsticks from the L’Occitane website, they’re only £18 each and combine lipstick payoff with lip balm nourishment. A winning combination in my book!
