We switch up our perfume with the changing seasons, so why not switch up our home scents too?
I’m a big fan of home scents. To be fair any kind of scents really. I love perfume and have an ever growing collection. I’m never going to be one of those girls who says “I’ve got enough perfumes.” If I like something then I’ll usually buy it as I think smelling good is really important and shouldn’t be taken for granted. The right scent can say more than a thousand words and I’m very sentimental about what I look for in fragrance.
It’s that love of scents that spilled over into home scenting when I moved into my very first home at the age of 18. Obviously back then I was just dipping my toes in the water and would see a £2 scented candle as a treat. But I quickly realised that the type of fragrance I wanted in my home was strong and luxurious. And as I got older I viewed more expensive and premium brands as an indulgence and a justifiable spend when I wanted a treat. And this is something that’s not changed. I want a house that smells beautiful and that people comment on when they come over. I want a home perfume and not a light room spritz. I want my home scents to make as much of a statement as my perfume.
So when I saw that Acqua Di Parma were launching a new and complete home collection, I knew it was going to be my thing. Their perfumes are some of the most luxurious in my collection and some of the strongest too. Which is exactly why I love them. There’s nothing weak or light about their fragrances, so if you’re looking to make a scent impact, they should be one of your go-to choices.
The new home collection is made up of candles and diffusers in five brand new scents. All of which encapsulate the Italian living themes you link with Acqua Di Parma. Oh L’Amore is the one adorning my dining room as we speak and it’s got this sheer romance to it that makes it sensual and subtle but always there. It’s got notes of amber that run throughout so it’s musky and lingering with an edge of seduction. Almost like a lingering look from a lover. And the matching diffuser compliments it perfectly too.
With it’s magic and beautiful scent, Oh L’Amore gives my home a really warming environment and rather than being heavy, it’s noticeable and strong but without being overpowering. It’s the sort of scent that makes you notice when it’s not there. And it’s received many compliments from visitors.
If you’re looking to mix up your home scents for the summer then what could be more perfect than an entire home range inspired by Italian living – full of romance, exotic memories and summer moments?
