Getting Fruity With The SBC Watermelon Collection

Getting Fruity With The SBC Watermelon Collection

What scent could be more delicious this summer than a twist of watermelon? Well, maybe a little touch of coconut for good measure too…

As you guys know, I’m a lover of SBC body care products. I’ve trialled many over the past year and always been so happy to find a lovely mix of gorgeous scents and great products. Their face mask wardrobe was a huge hit a few months ago and now they’ve kicked off the summer with the launch of their newest collection – and it’s watermelon themed!

Nothing says ‘summer’ quite like watermelon, does it? I remember on holiday last year, every day by the pool the staff at the hotel would come round with fresh slices of exotic watermelon at around 11am. It was the perfect summer brunch treat. And when we’re at home, me and my children love to make fruit cocktail sticks with huge chunks of our favourite summer fruit. Like I said; nothing beats watermelon in the summer.

So the launch of the brand new SBC collection couldn’t be better timed. Especially as the weather truly seems to be pushing it’s way towards summer. The range consists of a duo containing the Refreshing Watermelon Shower Gel & Shampoo and the Refreshing Watermelon Skincare Gel. Unlike anything watermelon themed you’ve enjoyed before, this collection has a unique scent: it’s the token watermelon but with a lovely and gentle floral twist containing lily-of-the-valley and jasmine, along with sandalwood and soft peach for a heavier, fruity edge. It’s mouthwatering to smell, especially when it’s heated up in the shower while you wash your hair etc!

SBC Refreshing Watermelon Shower Gel and Shampoo Review

The Refreshing Watermelon Shower Gel and Shampoo is probably my favourite – I’m a sucker for multi-purpose products and this one means you can wash your hair and body with it in one. Watermelon is one of the super fruits for anti-oxidents, so it’s great for hydrating skin and helping to build it’s natural ability to fight everyday factors. Plus the addition of various other clever ingredients means it works to hydrate hair and leave it really silky and soft to the touch. And if you’re a fan of nicely scented hair, having locks that smell like watermelon is delicious all day long!

Refreshing Watermelon Skincare Gel Review

The other part of the duo is the Refreshing Watermelon Skincare Gel which is the perfect everyday face and body moisturiser. I’ve tried this particular product in several scents and can personally vouch for how luxurious it is when applied. It’s got a really rich texture that spreads perfectly and absorbs well. It doesn’t feel sticky or leave an uncomfortable feeling while it’s drying and it’s great for applying in the morning ahead of your day, even when you’re in a rush. A little tip from me would be to store it in the fridge ahead of use, that way it’s got this amazing cooling sensation when you apply it, that’s really relaxing and you could also use it as an intensive face mask this way too.

To mark the release of their fun and fruity summer range, SBC are launching it as this amazing four-piece at QVC. You can get the mahoosive 1 litre supersize Shower Gel & Shampoo, along with a 250ml Skincare Gel as part of an exclusive summer skincare bundle. As well as these two newbies, you also get one of my favourite scented collections from SBC ever, the Coconut & Plumeria range. Containing a 500ml Shimmer Skincare Gel which is like the previously mentioned Skincare Gel, except with the most perfect and delicate amount of shimmer (it’s great in the sun!) You then also get a 500ml Shower Melt which is a luxury body wash and moisturising product. Used in the shower daily, it melts into the skin and with it’s ultra-conditioning coconut oil, shea butter and Vitamin E it hydrates and nourishes to the highest level. Followed by that Shimmer Skincare Gel for a bit of glamour, and you’ve got summer scented skin ready for the day ahead.

SBC Coconut & Plumeria Review

The great thing about this offer is that the sizes of each product are really big so they’re going to last you a good amount of time, so they’re well worth the money, and £39 for all four is good value. Both scents are traditionally summery and exotic – which means you can get beach ready and in the summer spirit in time for any holidays or trips you may have planned.

Now, please excuse me while I devour the watermelon in the photo’s and make some yummy watermelon mock-tails for a sunny afternoon treat. (Sadly not included in the offer!)

I’ve never tried this brand but the coconut products sound fab – I’m allergic to watermelon so better bypass those!
