Tired? Not enough sleep-time happening? Or maybe even jet lagged? No matter what the cause of tired eyes, they can be a total pain to banish. But there’s one simple and easy to use product that can help…
As a mum of 2 I’m busy. As a freelancer I’m busy. As a wife, homemaker, chef, taxi driver and everything else-er I’m busy. So tie it all up together and I’m super busy. There’s just simply not enough days in the week or hours in the day to fit everything in. And by the time I hit the sack I’m exhausted. The trouble with my mind is that it works overtime at night so I quite often wake up worrying about my to-do list as well. All of which shows on my face in the mornings – it’s not pretty.
My under eyes are the worst because they get dark and look even more hollow. Parred with a few beastly under eye lines (ahem, wrinkles) nowdays, it’s not a good look. And unless I really look after that area, it will always give away how tired I am. Being one of the first places on the face to show signs of ageing anyway, and being notoriously difficult to treat because of how thin the skin is there, making sure your under eye looks its best isn’t easy.
I tried the Erborian CC Eye (Clair) for the first time just before my wedding. In need of something strong and reliable to get through the stress of final wedding prep, this was something I tried with eagerness. I’d been recommended it and when it arrived I got it right out and onto the skin. Which was the first surprise…
Effectively an under eye cream, concealer and line filler – it’s a little tube of magic. And it comes out white! As you rub into the skin it goes a flesh colour which is quite pink in tone. It’s very subtle and quite brightening, I find personally the pink tone corrects the under eye darkness perfectly and lifts the whole area in appearance.
The texture is far from a heavy concealer which is great – as anyone with any type of line under the eyes will know, a heavy concealer there is not a good idea – it will just sink in to the lines and make them more obvious. This however, blends like a moisturiser, a soft gentle cream that also conceals at the same time. My eyes feel moisturised and healthy and far from dried out as other products can do.
The cream also has this way of subtly filling the lines out. So those few lines I have are massively minimised in appearance. Combined with the way it combats the dark colour in the area, this cream completely transforms the way tired eyes look – and feel.
I always worry about the products I use underneath my eyes but this has been so lovely – the softness of an all over tinted moisturiser, the coverage of a concealer and the hydration of a skincare product. It’s the perfect consistancy and a product I will 100% be repurchasing. Plus it’s made me really want to try the matching face version now too, the CC Cream.
