6 Bathroom Beauty Essentials For Under £10

6 Bathroom Beauty Essentials For Under £10!

When it comes to bath or shower time luxury, I’m all for indulgence. But ultimately it shouldn’t always cost the earth.

And it’s not just about the luxury experience either, is it? We shower to get clean, to look after ourselves – there’s a purpose to it. And just because there’s a reason behind our daily shower regime, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be something to look forward to. Or something that gives us as much of a boost with the products we use, as say, our make up or skincare regime.

I’ve been trying a lot of great bathroom products and toiletries recently while on the hunt for the best of the best. I’m a premium beauty addict but there’s so many great budget brands out there that I’ve enjoyed exploring more from them on my blog over the past year especially. Practical doesn’t mean boring, and just because these products serve a purpose, doesn’t mean they don’t have the edge.

So here’s a little guide of my favourite 6 bathroom beauty essentials for under £10. They’re super easy to pick up in Boots or even when you’re doing your food shopping at the supermarket…

Dove Coconut Oil Shower Mousse – £3.99

This multi-tasker has been getting top marks from me for a while now. I love a foam-type texture as my daily ‘washing’ product, I have no idea why, it’s just a personal thing. This Dove Coconut Oil Shower Mousse, doubles up as a shaving foam as well as a shower wash, which makes it pretty nifty in my book. As someone who rarely remembers to buy shaving foam and usually reaches for anything to hand when needed, this is so helpful! It’s also infused with natural coconut oil so it’s soft on the skin and nourishing too, and it doesn’t leave me feeling dry or my skin feeling tight. It’s just a really soft, beautifully scented and perfectly multi-puposed product. It’s a winner at less than a fiver too.

NIVEA Clay Fresh Body Wash – £2.39

As someone who swears by clay as a great ingredient in any skincare for detoxifying (like charcoal) I was so intrigued to give the Nivea Clay Fresh Body Wash a go – and it didn’t disappoint. It’s got a really nice and almost aromatherapy-like scent to it and it feels slightly denser than other shower gels and body washes I’ve tried.

Applied directly to skin during shower time it’s great for giving a thorough clean – but my tip for application is to stand slightly out of the water when applying. So apply to the skin when wet, but not when the water is pouring down, then lather up and you’re good to go. I’ve found if you apply under the water it just doesn’t work as well. Thorough clean, probably a bit deeper than other products and it smells nice too. Soft, gentle and pH balanced so even sensitive skin types could use it.

Dove Anti Stress Micellar Water Bodywash – £3.99

The best for a luxury feeling body wash is the Dove Micellar Water Bodywash. As someone who is loyal to using Micellar Water to remove my make up during my skincare regime, I was so excited to find out Dove had created a body wash with the same principle. A rich and luxurious body wash that’s 1/4 moisturising cream, it’s also got micellar technology so it’s great at lifting dead skin cells and daily build up.

Best results come when using with a sponge and rubbed all over, I find this creates an almost exfoliating type experience to your daily wash. It’s gentle to use and luxurious to skin. The Micellar technology is a bonus, and for 500ml it’s another great buy.

Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle – £8.00

A little pricer than the body wash products, but I always expect that with moisturisers and creams anyway. Even still, £8 for 200ml isn’t bad at all. And the Sanctuary Spa Wet Skin Moisture Miracle is worth it because it’s the perfect way to moisturise your skin if you’re running late, or like me, hate waiting for body creams to dry.

You apply this product as soon as you finish your shower – literally, don’t do anything. Turn the water off and apply this all over, like any other body cream. Then that’s when you towel dry. To avoid rubbing the product off, dab excess water off the skin with the towel more than rough/normal drying. It’s a nifty idea and saves a lot of time. The result is nourished skin fresh out of the shower. Best for the busy working gals among us.

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter – £10.00

If you want something more creamy, thicker and more targeted then the Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter is the way to go. I love Soap & Glory products, I don’t think they ever lose the novelty of budget bathroom beauty goodness! That pink packaging gets me every time! Plus their Righteous Butter is a cult status product in it’s own right already.

A thick moisturising cream, it’s perfect for literally everything if you have normal skin. It’s great for the dry skin on elbows and knees, I also like to use it over my tattoos for extra moisture where I sometimes notice that my skin looks drier, even if it’s not. It’s great for pre-tan moisturising to even the tan application and it’s literally my luxury go-to product for anything to do with nourishing my skin. So many brands charge a fortune for their body creams and I think £10 for 300ml is a great price for such a fab and everyday product.

L’Oreal Elvive Rapid Reviver Conditioner – £5.50

I can’t shout about this product enough, and even though it’s only been available for a few months now, I’ve repurchased it so many times. (It’s on offer a lot in Boots for half price!) I have also recommended this to SO many people, and have featured it on my Instagram stories countless times too. If you struggle with the ends of your hair due to anything: over styling, over colouring etc then this is the conditioner for you. The L’Oreal Rapid Reviver Conditioner is literally a double strength conditioner, twice the power of your normal one and yet it doesn’t require any extra time to work.

Most repairing treatments and conditioners need leave-in time, but this one doesn’t, you literally put it on and wash off like you would with any other conditioner. It feels richer in texture, and hair feels more nourished. The ends of my hair look softer, less broken and feel much better after every use of this. Can not recommend this highly enough for some serious hair care luxury!
