When it comes to beauty, confectionery, jewellery and so many other things, World Duty Free have a huge selection. But naturally, the beauty lover in me always makes a bee-line for the Beauty section. In fact, I’ve been known to almost miss flights as I’ve spent too long wandering around shopping! I can’t help it – tax free shopping, beauty exclusives and so much choice is basically this girl’s version of heaven. Which is also why I’m so excited to put a collection of my favourite Christmas picks together, to help guide your shopping choices. Because I do know and understand that not everyone has a huge amount of time before flying off. So hopefully this should help you – and remember, everything is available via Reserve & Collect. Which means you can shop online, reserve at your airport store and collect on your way through. So really, you have no reason not to take advantage of World Duty Free Christmas Shopping.
L’Occitane Winter Tin
You can’t go wrong with a gift like this, for several reasons. Firstly, hand creams are just so versatile. Everyone needs a good hand cream during the winter months, so it’s a great gift that you know will get used and valued. Plus, hand creams aren’t a skin-type specific product, so you know they’ll work for anyone you gift them too. You can also guarantee that a L’Occitane Hand Cream will get your major brownie points, because it’s one of the premium hand cream brands you can get, right? Everyone has seen of/tried their hand creams, and they’re up there as one of the best. So this gorgeous tin of four creams would make a lovely gift. Plus, this L’Occitane Winter Tin is a Travel Exclusive, available only from World Duty Free so it’s going to give the ‘wow’ factor as something not many people will be opening. Which means basically, this gift is a firm-bet for anyone of your shopping list.
Gucci Bloom Nettare di Fiori Set
When it comes to perfume, my favourite discovery this year has to have been the Gucci Bloom scent. I’ve fallen in love with it and it’s become my everyday staple. So when I discovered the Gucci Bloom Nettare di Fiori Set, I knew I had to add it to my collection. Having been using this for a few weeks now, I love how intense it makes the Gucci Bloom appear when worn, and World Duty Free have this amazing coffret featuring a full size 100ml bottle and matching rollerball version – which is perfect for slipping in your handbag and keeping with you, so you don’t need to carry the full size bottle around with you. It’s a gorgeous, feminine and musky scent that smells luxurious and sensual. It’s a big winner for anyone who likes a unique perfume.
By Terry Ombre Blackstar Gift Set
By Terry are one of those brands that all make up lovers aspire to owning. Their premium products and gorgeous ranges just scream ‘luxury’ and despite the price tag they really are brilliant additions to beauty collections. I love the By Terry Limited Edition Christmas collection this year, the packaging is beautiful and so festive, while also retaining pure luxury in the design. A top pick from their range would have to be the Ombre Blackstar Gift Set which features three of their best-selling shades in their creamy shadow sticks. Perfect and versatile at trying the formula, this little gift set is perfect for all make-up lovers regardless of make up style.
Guerlain Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oil Duo
Another awesome Travel Exclusive is the Guerlain Abeille Royal Youth Watery Oil Duo Set. If you’ve never tried any Guerlain Skincare, then you’re in for a treat – it’s lovely to use and gentle on the skin as well. And you know with a brand like Guerlain, it’s going to have been created using amazing skincare technology so you can trust it too. This duo set features not one, but two of the Abeille Royale Youth Watery Oils which contain wonder ingredient, black bee honey. Combining the best parts of a serum and an oil, the unique texture applies like a rich blend of nutrients and smooths, hydrates and encourages radiance all in one. It’s great for skin of any age and gives it a real winter-boost, making it a lovely gift this Christmas as well as saving you some money as a World Duty Free Exclusive.
Diptyque Carousel Candle Set
As you all know, I’m a scented candle addict – and my premium candle collection is something I’ve been building recently. I can’t tell you how much I love the Diptyque candles and their gifts this Christmas have blown me away. So naturally, I recommend that you pick a set (or two) up for those on your list. The Diptyque Carousel Candle Set is a great one because it features two travel sized candles in their Baies and Tubereuse Scents. Each is 70g, so has a good amount of burn time but it comes with the most stunning golden carousel that you hang over the top and it rotates as if by magic, thanks to the heat of the candle’s flame. It’s such a beautiful gift – pretty, smells lovely and is a luxurious treat. Anyone would love this no matter how much of a candle fan they are. This one has been wrapped back up for me to put under the tree myself – to me, from me.
Miller Harris Rose Silence Gift Set
When it comes to artisan fragrance brands, Miller Harris come at the top of the list. And this year they’ve been wrapping their gifts and gift sets in scarfs – so there’s no heavy packaging that needs to be disposed of, and the scarf can be worn all through the year. I think it’s a great and unique thing for Miller Harris to have done. Bravo. So I wanted to make sure that one of their sets was included in the guide, and the Rose Silence set jumped out at me. It contains a 50ml eau de parfum and matching 250ml body wash, all wrapped in the most amazing patterned scarf and topped with the cutest fluffy pom-pom. What more could you want?
Bare Minerals Northern Lights Palette
A cute little palette for the girly-girls, is the Bare Minerals Northern Lights Palette. It’s a mini-palette with a blush and two eyeshadows, so it’s great as a small gift or stocking filler. And maybe even a secret santa item too? The cutest thing, and the thing I loved most about this set is that in the lid of the packaging there’s sparkles and gems all that move around like the Northern Lights name-sake. The perfect handbag size, this one would be great for the younger girls wanting to build up their make up collections.
REN Clean Skincare & Now To Sleep Set
I love REN Clean Skincare and I have also loved their Christmas range this year because they collaborated with Kikki K and created the prettiest and most festive packaging. As a stationary lover, this wasn’t lost on me, and I have several of their sets wrapped under my tree for family members this Christmas. Their ‘& Now To Sleep’ set is a mini set, that can be hung on the Christmas tree like a decoration, or popped in a stocking as a filler gift. It contains two of their cult pillow sprays in mini size. Which is the perfect product when you’re jetting off anywhere – so this could be a great treat for yourself, pre-flight. I love the REN pillow sprays because the unique blend of essentials oils means it doesn’t cause headaches like some pillow sprays can. And it just gently relaxes you enough to get you into a restful sleep. And the gift of good sleep is a perfect treat.
So, as you can see, there’s just so may amazing goodies available to pick up in-store at World Duty Free this Christmas. There’s things for the make up lover, the skincare fanatic, the younger beauty fan and the candle lover…and so much more in-store too.
