It’s time to talk GlamGlow again.
As if they haven’t delivered enough this year, they’ve dropped a couple of absolute beauty game-changers recently, making this a very exciting year for GlamGlow fans like me. Last time I spoke to you about them, it was regarding the My Little Pony Limited Edition range, which still remains one of my favourites and I use the masks regularly. (As a pink lover, I’m sure you’ll know why!) In all seriousness I really do rate GlamGlow products, and it’s one of few mask brands that I’ve used consistently this year because they’ve given me such great results.
Having been a brand-fan since they launched their masks, I was there with bells on when they moved into everyday skincare too. So when I saw the first snippets of the GlowPowder Palette, I actually think I did a little squeal. Every time this brand take new ground in terms of their products range, it’s always something that excites me. I just can’t say enough good things about them.
The GlowPowder Palette is a bit different to previous releases, and that’s why I liked it from the get-go. Is it make up or skincare? Well, technically GlamGlow say both. To me it’s make up that’s infused with skincare, and O.M.G it’s mind blowing.
The palette itself is housed in the cutest rubber style setting – which I’ve never seen on a palette before, ever. So I love that it’s different from the outset. Inside it features three shades of highlighter: Nude Glow, Sun Glow and Pearl Glow. All of which sport a very different colour so you’ll find this to be a versatile highlighting palette that will suit all skin tones and also carry you through the seasons perfectly. It’s got the pale colour for fair skin tones and during the winter months and the the more bronze tone to carry you through summer and for the darker skin tones. It really is a versatile every day palette that anyone can enjoy.
The powders themselves are infused with hyaluronic acid – which in the skincare world is the ingredient used to combat fine lines and wrinkles, and is recommended for plumping the skin. You’ll find it in most skincare that aims to fill, smooth and plump the skin in any way – it’s the wonder ingredient of skincare. The powders being infused with this mean you should be able to plump and smooth the areas where it’s applied.
Dusted over the high points of the cheeks and the bridge of the nose, you can also use the bronze shade to go over your normal contour. Because the GlowPowder palette will also blur imperfections too – which means it doubles as a great setting-type of powder as well. I find the texture to be really creamy and luxurious – it’s like butter! And it applies like a dream. With buildable coverage you can stick with a muted highlight that’s subtle and delicate or build up to an all-out highlight that’s blinding: it’s entirely your choice.
I find that the pigmentation on this is seriously impressive. For their first ‘make up’ product, GlamGlow have done well with this. It delivers high colour payoff, buildable colour and it ticks all the highlighting palette boxes. And it’s cute too, so extra points there. I can’t comment on whether it reduces lines, as I don’t have any across my cheeks where I use this, but I can say it smooths and blurs my whole cheek area making my make up have more of a glamorous and glowy appearance.
I also like the price-point on this. At £32 it’s well worth splurging on in my opinion. The GlowPowder Palette gives a nice twist on a typical highlighting palette and the pigmentation is ace as well. It’s made me hope that GlamGlow will do more make up infused skincare products in the coming months and years too. Because if so, I’ll be there with bells on.
Also, before you return to scrolling, I want to mention the newest addition to the skincare realms at GlamGlow – the Instamud: 60 Second Pore Refining Treatment. This beaut has ticked another box for me as well because I’m really loving quick-apply skincare right now. Everyone seems to be upping their game with the one minute miracles at the moment – GlamGlow included. This treatment mask needs only 60 seconds on the skin as it bubbles upon contact to invigorate and energise the skin. It refine the surface of your face, and cleans the pores to create a softer and smoother layer of skin. I LOVE this for the evenings I want to face mask but just don’t have time. Plus it’s quite cool watching it puff up! So pick up the Instamud too.
