Seeing as it’s gradually getting cooler by the minute, I thought I’d take the time to pull together and show you some of the key pieces I’ll be wearing this season, and to create an autumn look book of styles and how to wear them. I’m not one of these girls who can wear crop tops and high waisted skinny jeans – I’ve got hips! So I like to think that my outfits are versatile enough that all sizes and shapes could pull them off…
The slogan tee
Seeing as it’s not quite wellies and snow weather yet, I recommend investing in a couple of chosen t-shirts. These will see you through the warmer days and then when there’s a distinct chill in the air you can just pull on a chunky knit cardigan. I’m loving this Pale Pink Leopard Print Slogan Tee – and it’s only £9.99! Bang on the animal print trend, it’s not over the top and the pale pink means it will go with all manner of colours on your bottom half.
Button Through Midi Skirt
Another key piece for my autumn look book is a good skirt. Just because it’s not the summer anymore doesn’t mean we need to banish our skirts. I’m loving this high waisted number with large buttons and pockets on the front. It’s quirky and unique, and great at covering my hips! Because it hugs the waist it’s got a really girly and feminine fit – and it will go well with shoes, boots and flats too. So you’ll get a lot of wear out of it. And it’s only £17.99 and also available in black, white, cream and brown.
The earring trend the summer went mad for isn’t going anywhere and tassles are here to stay for the autumn. A cute nude or neutral coloured pair can be teamed with any outfit to accessories it with ease. Plus they look pretty cool too right. I recommend these Stud Tassles from Topshop.
Okay naturally my Vans are pink – you’ve seen my Instagram so what did you expect my autumn look book to include?! But seriously, a pretty coloured pair are perfect for autumn because they team well with skirts and trousers alike and go well if you’re wearing an edgy outfit, or something casual. Here’s a tip, mine are the childrens versions! You can’t get plain pink Vans in the adult collection, but if you have feet under a size 5.5 adult UK then you can buy the childrens sizes as they go up to a 5.5! And this makes them half the price – winning. Currently my exact pair are also on sale for only £20 too – so snap them up here! Or if you have larger than a 5.5 foot then try the Old Skool Vans as they’re pretty close and equally as cute.

Textured Knit Jumper
Second autumn look book feature! You are always going to need a chunky knit sweater for the autumn, for those chilly days. And I love my cream version – originally from Primark but now pretty hard to find. I’ve found the perfect alternative from H&M in this Textured Knit Sweater which will look girly and cute with a skirt while also being super cosy.
Leopard Print Mini Skirt
As we know, animal print is so on trend – it’s everywhere right now! And this zip front Primark mini is like gold dust now because everyone’s been trying to snap it up! I love it and it was such a bargain but I’ve found a great alternative from New Look – but be quick because it’s in and out of stock so fast! Otherwise try this little number from Joanie Clothing instead.
Statement Mustard Earrings
Another big trend this autumn is mustard everything. So naturally I’ve been teaming my autumn outfits with some cute mustard accessories. These hoop earrings are only £5.99 and look great with tees, knitwear and dresses.
Every Day Ankle Boots
It’s finally time to get the ankle boots back out – hurray! I love wearing boots and every autumn I treat myself to a new pair – and wear the hell out of them. This year I’ve gone for the Dune Pontoon Taupe boots because they literally go with everything from jeans to dresses. But they’re also available in other colours too. They’re so comfy as well with the cutest little heel – the perfect ankle boot for every day wear.
I love crossbody bags at the moment – practical and you always know where they are! Saddle bags are a key statement piece to any outfit and I adore mine. I picked this up two years ago for my New York Trip and I love it as much now as I did then, but it’s no longer available. I found some great alternatives in Aldo and at Asos, like this one.
