ASOS Launch Their Own Make Up Range

Nailing fashion and style, ASOS are the King, and Queen of online shopping destinations. Everyone has used ASOS and if you haven’t you’re in the minority for sure. However gradually they’re taking world domination one step further – and launching their own ASOS Design range of cosmetics.

To add to the already impressive beauty section on the website, the range of ASOS Design make up has been created to give you the beauty staples you need – like the little black dress of your make up collection. Not only that but there’s every staple product you could need – and it’s all totally affordable. Which is what I like about the range: it looks like a premium brand but without the premium price.

The idea behind the ASOS Design make up collection is to give you all the options you can get from a make up range. That means glitter, colours and all the normal and everyday shades and products too. So let’s have a look at the range and see what it’s like…

ASOS Design Make up Blusher – Acceptance £8

One of my first heart-eye reaction moments, was when I saw the blusher. The shade is called Acceptance and is absolutely stunning. It’s an everyday, versatile rosy pink in a buildable matte finish. The shade looks delicate and like the colour that can give you the cute and pretty rosy cheek look that suits almost every skin tone. For £8, a compact with a matte blush and mirror, in a hard compact is a great price. It’s something I’m loving using and I keep it in my handbag everyday. Pick up Acceptance.

ASOS Design Make up Eyeshadow Palette – Current Mood £12

Next up on the list was one of the eyeshadow palettes, this one is called Current Mood and features six shades. There are other palettes to pick from, but this one caught my eye because it’s got 5 mattes and one metallic, all on the cool tones smokey spectrum – which is a really lovely colour base for me. The pigmentation is light and delicate, it’s quite a dry powder which clings really well to a primer. Once it’s applied on a primer it stays all day without loosing it’s intensity, something which I really rate. The neutral shades with the pop of blue mean you can use it for quick and easy eye looks in a jiffy.

ASOS Design Make up Dual Glitter Pot – Mindful £6.50

If it’s got glitter, it will catch my eye, and the Dual Glitter Pots did just that. The shade Mindful is silver based and the pot contains lose glitter in the bottom and a clear adhesive cream that you fix it to, in the top, with a mirror concealed in the lid. I have an Estee Edit version of this which cost me over three times this amount and this one looks even prettier – perfect for nights out and festival looks. And another bargain buy too.

ASOS Design Make up – Mascara £8

A trusty everyday black mascara with a great big and fluffy wand. When it comes to mascara wands, size does matter so this one should give a good and fluffy look to the lashes. The Design Make up Mascara comes with a buildable coverage and the black is intense AND it’s 100% vegetarian. WINNER.

ASOS Design Make up – Satin Lipstick, Frosty £7

When I saw this lipstick, I was reminded how much I love dark and plum shades for autumn. This satin finish lipstick is going to be a go-to come September time and I can’t wait to use it more! Trying it out, the texture is creamy with a nice colour payoff that doesn’t need a huge amount of product to give full effect. If you’re looking for the opposite of a matte finish, this glossy and creamy lipstick formula will suit you well. And there’s other shades to pick from too.

ASOS Design Make up – Liquid lipstick, Prove It £7

What make up collection would be complete without he bold red lipstick?! And the ASOS Design version has a liquid lipstick formula with the brightest fire engine red. It’s a nice formula that dries really quickly and looks lovely – with the same high payoff as much higher level brands. This is one red liquid lipstick I’d recommend buying budget over premium.

ASOS Design Make up – Lip Liner Pencil, 1/2 Full £5

To go with the gorgeous bright red liquid lipstick, there’s a matching bright red lip liner. I loved the creamy formula on this pencil because it worked well at lining the lips without bleeding and gave a good base for the lipstick. I’m the girl who gets a matching lip liner for all my lipsticks so I love that the Design range gives that option.

There’s so much more in the ASOS Design Make up collection – from eyebrow palettes, eye liners, bronzers and cream highlight sticks. There’s literally everything you could want from a make up range. Nothing will break the bank and all the colours are versatile and everyday shades. A new staple for make up bags everywhere I think!
