Too Faced Peaches & Cream Top Picks

Too Faced, Peaches & Cream, Top Picks, review

When Too Faced released their Peaches & Cream collection last year, I swooned. No, actually I didn’t swoon, I fell head over heels just at the sight of the range. I am a HUGE Too Faced advocate and I have SO much from them in my make-up collection. In fact, I probably have more Too Faced than any other brand in my whole hoard. Yes, I’m a hardcore Too Faced fan. So, anyway, when I saw the new Peaches & Cream range, I couldn’t wait to try it out.

Never ones to do things by halves, the Peaches & Cream range from Too Faced wasn’t just a couple of key pieces, it was a whole collection of products to create an entire face-full of make-up. With everything from the face base to the lip and eyes covered. Launches like this excite me a lot. When there’s a whole new everything to try, that’s when I get excited to the max as a beauty blogger.

I’m going to start by saying that, out of the whole collection, I’ve tried nearly everything bar the new eyeshadow palettes (but they’re next on my list!) and maybe one or two of the products. Other than that, I’ve worked my way through the collection and can finally give you the low-down on which products you need in your life!

Too Faced Peaches & Cream Peach Perfect Foundation £27
As you guys know, I’m on the never-ending search for the perfect matte foundation, so the fact that the Peaches & Cream range featured a whole new formula of foundation made me pretty happy. Even more so when I realised it was my favourite type of finish – good old matte. The Peach Perfect Foundation is described as a medium coverage foundation, so I was quick to try this out first of all and I was quite happy from the first impression. It applies like a thick cream and blends very well – I apply with a brush for best results. And it actually sits very well on the skin, with a good coverage that I would say is more than medium, more full coverage. For this reason I love it even more because one layer gives great coverage on it’s own and two gives a very full base – perfect for both types of coverage lovers.

Too Faced say this foundation is supposed to last up to 14 hours with “photo ready wear.” I found that the majority of my face still retained good coverage by the end of the day, obviously my oily patches weren’t so lucky, but no foundation has ever been able to cover these bits all day! But the majority of my face still showed good colour, good coverage and it hadn’t clogged my pores so my face looked good and my skin felt nice too. So it’s a big win in the foundation department! (I use shade Vanilla.)

Too Faced Primed & Peachy £27
Naturally, with a new foundation, comes a new primer. The Primed & Peachy primer is another pump disposing tube and it’s really lightweight on the skin. It’s got a cooling sensation to it, that makes the skin feel clear and refreshed – which gives me the confidence that I’m not clogging my pores. It sits nicely on the skin and blurs the pores and imperfections to a good level. I specifically look for blurring primers these days, so I love that this one works to do that while also creating a blank canvas for my make-up. I find that the texture and blurring ability works to even out my skin tone too, so when I apply the foundation it gives a more even coverage. I find this perfectly matches and accompanies the Peach Perfect Foundation, so I recommend getting both together to get the most from each product.

Too Faced Peach Mist Mattifying Setting Spray £27
A great finishing spray, the formula in the Peach Mist Mattifying and Setting Spray also matches the foundation and primer with it’s matte abilities. A quick spritz all over the face after make-up application and you’re good to go. This gorgeous scented spray works to combat oil and it’s affects on giving make-up that annoying wet look. And it also helps to keep make up in place for longer. I’ve found that this mist dries quite quickly after sprayed, which is good because others I’ve tried are the opposite. This one dries quickly and seals my make-up for a really nice all-day protective layer. Plus a spritz of anything is good for making skin feel revived isn’t it? So this is great for that too.

Too Faced Sweetie Pie Bronzer £25
Without a doubt, the prettiest piece of the collection is the Sweetie Pie Bronzer. Just look at it. It looks like peach pie – and smells just as good too. I think everyone has seen this and drooled over it – it’s got that “come and live with me” look and it’s worth every penny! A beautiful compact with four different tones, it’s a blush, bronzer and highlighter all in one – so it not only adds colour to the cheeks but also highlights them too. So it’s a great all-in-one compact for the face. It’s got a really delicate colour to it, so it’s a buildable coverage and will work for all skin tones. Whether you like heavy make-up or barely there, you’ll get the coverage you want with this. I find the pink tones mix really well with the bronzing shades, so I apply across the hollows of my cheeks and slightly on the apples and it gives me an amazing everyday glow that’s subtle but also noticeable. It’s one of my favourites of the whole range without a doubt.

Too Faced Peach My Cheeks Blush £25
I haven’t used a cream blush in a really long time. I found that in the past they didn’t suit my oily skin and make my complexion look wet and oily before I’ve even left the house. However this one is different because it turns to powder on application, which avoids the shine that I dislike in cream blushes. Once applied, the Peach My Cheeks turns powder thin and isn’t the least bit shiny – yay! And the colouring is perfect for a natural tint. I don’t wear a lot of blush these days so a subtle drop of colour on the apples of my cheeks is all I want, and this is great for that. But then for evenings or more make-up days, you can build it up too, so it’s a really versatile way of colouring your cheeks. It’s got the same matte formula that all the range has, but with a tiny bit of radiance so you don’t looked washed out. I expected to sit on the fence with this one, but it’s another big thumbs up from me.

Too Faced Peach Frost £25
Oh sweet champagne coloured goodness, how I love thee! This seriously stunning creamy highlight comes in one universal shade that suits all skin types and yes, it’s a champagne shade. Swoon. Peach Frost comes in a peach shaped compact like the blushes and although it’s a cream texture, it melts onto the skin when applied. Because it’s a highlight, the finish is perfect for a cream formula and the shimmer levels are so pigmented that if you apply more than a couple of coats you’ll have an insane level of highlight! For me I apply one or two layers with my fingers and that’s perfect for everyday, if I blend with a brush it gives it the most natural and subtle highlight that compliments my cheekbones. Rich, creamy and buttery – it’s another fab addiction to an already amazing collection.

Too Faced Peach Blur £25
It was a close call between this and the Sweetie Pie Bronzer BUT the Peach Blur wins the award for my hero of the range. This powder is everything. EVERYTHING. I rely on a finishing powder to add the final touch of matte to my skin, so I never thought a powder like this would work for me. But it does to a huge extent and I’ve used it every single day since it arrived – and I’m making a back-up order on payday for another too. It minimises the look of lines, imperfections and basically anything on your face, and leaves things looking perfect – it’s like adding a filter to your face. It’s so odd because you can’t see the powder on the brush when you’re applying, but you can see where you’ve applied it because suddenly everything looks better, neater in fact. I love a matte finish so don’t worry that the shimmer-like appearance of the compact wouldn’t work for you if you’re the same – it’s the light reflecting pigments in the formula that do that. On the skin you can’t notice the shimmer, just a wonderful and flawless looking complexion. Not just my hero of the range, but without a doubt it’s going to be one of my hero products this year.

Seriously, it’s a swoon-worthy collection isn’t it?!

So those are my thoughts on the fabulous bits you NEED from the Peaches & Cream collection, trust me, this is a range that’s going to change the way you put your make-up on. Too Faced just keep getting better and better for me, and I can’t wait to finish my collection with the two eyeshadow palettes. My make-up life will then be complete!
