This Gift Guide has had me super excited from the moment I started putting it all together! I LOVE make-up. As a beauty blogger I love skincare, nails and haircare a lot, but make-up has my heart. My make-up collection grows by the day with a hefty amount of my time being spent researching new products that I’ve just got to try. The perks of beauty blogging hey?! Anyway, Christmas is basically a make-up lovers dream. All the special sets and limited edition collections make me swoon. But sometimes, just sometimes, there can be slightly too much to pick from, right? So I decided I’d write a specially dedicated Gift Guide to the top make-up picks this Christmas..
PUR Quick Pro Portables (Beauty Bay, £15)
Okay now these are going to blow your mind, because for £15 you get a LOT. Isn’t that why we love Christmas make-up?! PUR have released three different Quick Pro Portable kits which feature not one but TWO individual palettes! There’s Day Dream and Night Fantasy which both have a dedicated eyeshadow palette and also a dedicated lip palette too. Day Dream features daytime shades with versatile nudes and Night Fantasy are the deep and dusty plum tones that everyone goes mad for at this time of year. Then there’s the Sculpt and Glow kit which also has two palettes – one to contour and one to highlight, each with three individual shades. As with all PUR products, they’re very well pigmented and great all-round colours. Grab them quickly because they’re selling out fast!
Deborah Lippmann Color on Glass Trio (Sephora, £18)
Deborah Lippmann nail polishes are well known in the beauty industry for offering a high shine and lasting nail colour. I started using their shades recently and must admit that the Color on Glass Trio is a great little gift for make-up lovers. Featuring three stunning shades, there’s a nude, a deep plum/purple and a party season sparkle. Perfect for getting winter nails looking glam. Plus I think £18 is a great price for such a snazzy looking gift!
Iconic London Day To Slay Eyeshadow Palette (Iconic London, £45)
As a self-confessed eyeshadow palette hoarder, I knew I had to have this as soon as I saw it. It is stunning and the shade selection is mind blowing. Not to mention that it’s absolutely MASSIVE! Yep the palette itself is HUGE and the pans are seriously generous, so you’re getting a lot of product for your money. The shades themselves are a mix of pink, gold and peach tones, so perfect for all skin tones and they’re extremely well pigmented. With a mix of shimmers, mattes and glitters – this palette has something for everyone and in January I’m going to be doing a full review with swatches! But if you can’t wait until then, grab one here before they sell out again! (They’re selling out constantly!)
Too Faced Under The Kisstletoe Set (Debenhams, £20)
Too Faced are one of my favourite brands, that’s no secret at all! So naturally an essential make-up guide for Christmas wouldn’t be complete without mention of one of their gorgeous sets! The Under The Kisstletoe Set is the perfect addition to a make-up lovers collection because it features four of the brand’s lovely lip products. All in travel size it contains two Melted Long Wear Lipsticks in pink and nude tones, and then one Melted Latex Lipstick (nude/pink) and one Melted Matte Lipstick (dark brown/plum.) The set is great for the perfect shades of winter lips and genuinely think everyone would love this.
Lancome L’Absolu Rouge Lipstick (Lancome, £25)
Every girl needs the perfect Christmas red lipstick right? Well Lancome’s new L’Absolu Rouge has got you covered. With a tonne of stunning shades to pick from, you might find it a hard decision to choose! But seeing as it’s Christmas, it’s got to be the red’s for me. 184 Magique and 189 Isabella are both matte reds with a definite festive tone about them. The colours themselves are deep and the payoff is extreme – one slick of these lipsticks and you’re going to be showing off the most colourful lips on the block. Plus the matching L’Absolu Gloss Cream gives a dewy shine and vivid colour to top it all off. I am a BIG fan of this range.
XIP Professional Makeup (XIP, various)
One range I can’t wait to review for you guys fully in the new year, is the new range from XIP Professional. Their products are highly pigmented and made with natural ingredients and endorsed by make-up artists. This brand is going to be one to watch out for next year, so I highly recommend picking up their products now. The Platinum Passion Eyeshadow Palette is deffo one to splurge on with some gorgeous shades to get you through the day and then transform your look to glam for the evening. I also love the blush palette with pink blush and matching highlight and the bronzer palette too. Check them out and wait for the full review in Jan.
Topshop Limited Edition Make-up (Topshop, £7.50-£12.50)
Christmas has seen the arrival of a brand new collection from Topshop which has blown me away. I am amazed at the quality of their products and with the price point too! None of the range will blow the bank but will absolutely add staples to your winter make-up bag. A favourite would be the White Noise Highlighter Palette with four highlighting shades in cool tones – perfect for winter and party season. They also have individual eyeshadows in some seriously sparkly and glittery finishes for only £7.50 and a gorgeous Lip Bullet which I recommend trying as well.
Sleek MakeUp Kits (£6-£30)
Sleek MakeUp do amazing kits at Christmas – some of the best, especially for the teens and twenties looking to boost their make-up collections. I have a lot of the Sleek products in my collection now and the addition of these gorgeous sets is something that got me really excited. I featured the Pout 4 Perfection set over on my Stocking Fillers Post, but there’s also the Birthday Suit Pout & Polish which contains matching matte liquid lipstick and nail varnish and then the big treat: the Bring On The Night Set. Containing three bestselling products, they’re all full sized, so you save a good amount of money. It includes the i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette in Vintage Romance (purples and dusty tones) as well as the Blush by 3 Palette in Lace (which is a PERFECT dupe for the ABH Blush Trio and then the Solstice Highlighting Palette too. For £30 this is an absolute bargain with three incredibly versatile products.
There you have it – some of my top make-up picks for Christmas this year, and what a fabulous bunch of goodies! I’ve been loving all of these and I’m pretty sure than any make-up addict would be more than a little bit happy to find these under their tree this Christmas morning!
