When it comes to perfume, I’m as girlie and feminine as they come. I like sensuous perfumes, and fragrances that are delicate yet sultry. I like classic blends that pair themselves with elegance – so Flowerbomb will always be one of my trademark scents.
Everyone knows the Flowerbomb bottles and packaging – it’s iconic and widely recognised because it’s so popular. But the fragrance itself is something you would only need to smell once, and you’ll notice it forever afterwards. Even after the very first time I tried Flowerbomb, I noticed it on people walking past me from then on because it’s such a distinctive fragrance.
With top notes of Mandarin and Orange it’s got an almost fruity blend, which combined with heart notes of Orchid and Jasmine create this sensual and deep tone, which is topped off with fruit. I usually find fruity fragrances can be a bit too light and fresh for me, as my personal preference is something with a bit more musk. But Flowerbomb has woody undertones so it adds this really unique woody tone to it’s fruity tones – and creates something quite unusual. Something which you wouldn’t think would work – but it does.
It’s got a freshness that means you feel clean and bright but then also a sultry, deeper tone that gives that seductive vibe – it’s perfect for women who like something different and want their perfume of choice to be distinguished.
I find that it’s got really good staying power too. It lasts a good few hours before I stop being able to smell it on myself (we always stop being able to smell perfume on ourselves before others stop being able to) but my partner can still smell it hours later – which shows the sign of a good blend of notes and ingredients.
For me, the classic Viktor & Rolf fragrance is by far the greatest. It’s a classic on my dressing table and one I reach for regularly. It never disappoints and I have yet to meet a person who doesn’t like it.
Flowerbomb Eau De Toilette comes in three sizes:
