I have tried some really fantastic products recently, in fact, far too many to put in a monthly favourites post! It seems like the beauty world is coming alive again with fantastic new launches and ranges, which I’m loving after what seemed to be a slow few months over the summer. What this has meant for me, is that I’ve been trying some really fun products and I’ve now compiled a seasonal favourites instead – so this is my Monthly Favourites: The Autumn Edit. Enjoy!
Mii Cosmetics Supernova Collection
I never get tired of Mii Cosmetics and you’ll see them a lot on my blog and social channels because I am a huge fan of their products. I wish more people knew about them because they’d love the brand as much as I do, so I like to think I’m on a mission to tell everyone about Mii! Their Supernova collection blew me away recently, and you’ll have seen me feature their Power Matte Lip Cremes on Instagram. These four gorgeous liquid lipsticks have really impressed me and they’re the perfect shades for autumn. The red and pink are both bright and vibrant, which I think perks up any make-up look. Then there’s the nude shade ‘Eternity’ which is a classic – you can never have too many nude shades in your lip collection. But my favourite for autumn is ‘Supreme’ which is a deep plum. I LOVE plum and mustard shades during autumn and this absolutely nails the deep plum colouring. The Lip Cremes are really thick and luxurious to apply and they have impressive staying power too.
Another little essential for a bit of glam would be the Glitter Glam Liner. I love a bit of sparkle on my eyes and it had been years since I’d tried a glitter eye liner. But this is gorgeous for adding a bit of glam to any eye look. I forgot how much you can love a glitter eye liner!
Temple Spa Take A Moment Collection
Temple Spa are amazing for products that allow you to indulge in some serious pampering. But I was touched when I found out about their latest campaign which is working in support of the Mariposa Trust. As a new mummy and someone who has previously experienced the loss of a baby myself, I think the support that the Mariposa Trust offers to those who suffer miscarriage and still birth, is vital. Temple Spa created their limited edition Take A Moment Collection which is a four piece set containing the ultimate stress relieving essentials for only £29 – and 10% of the proceeds goes directly to the Mariposa Trust. The set includes a mini version of their Repose Cream – which is something I’ve become addicted to in recent weeks and now swear by for a good night’s sleep for both me and my baby (I rub a bit on his feet before bed and it really relaxes him!) The set also includes a relaxing balm, a massage oil and a space and body mist. All with the trademark Repose scent. I can’t stress enough how important the cause is, and with the dark nights and colder air, it’s so important to rest and relax properly in autumn.
Lee Stafford Bigger, Fatter, Fuller Plumping Cream
I am so thankful for this Plumping Cream this autumn! It has given my hair serious volume, which it’s been lacking majorly. The cold weather and constant wind we’ve had with various storms recently, means my hair hasn’t known what to do with itself. The Lee Stafford Bigger, Fatter, Fuller range has given my hair volume and bounce at a time of year when it’s usually just quite…meh. The Plumping Cream has to be my favourite item from the range – you just add a few pumps to towel dried hair and comb through the mid section to the ends and blow dry as normal. My hair feels thicker and has a noticeable amount more volume when I use this. I’ve also been loving the shampoo and conditioner in the range and my hair feels very healthy despite the autumn chill.
Ted Baker Pretty Pearl Mini’s
I am a sucker for mini make-up and beauty products. Firstly, they’re just SO CUTE and secondly, they’re just SO HANDY. Mini beauty products make up the whole of my handbag really, because my bag is tiny right now! So mini beauty products are key for carrying what you need, without taking the weight of full sized, often bulky products. The Ted Baker Pretty Pearl Mini’s are a perfect example of what I’m loving for autumn. Their cute three piece gift set contains a mini body wash, body spray and body lotion and I’ve also got the matching lip balm. The Pretty Pearl scent is fresh and light, perfect for when you’re on the go and need a quick pick-me-up. I spritz the body spray all over when I feel my perfume has worn off and I’ve even been using the body lotion as a hand cream because it smells so light and fresh. The lip balm is lovely too for this time of year and avoiding cracked dry lips. Plus even though they’re Ted Baker, they don’t break the bank – the three piece set is only £8. So it’s a great autumn buy – and would be great for Christmas too.
I’m a bit of a brush addict these days and Ecotools are some of my favourites. I like them because they don’t break the bank and they are really good quality too. The brushes themselves are soft and delicate and their Skin Perfecting brush has been fabulous recently. I use it to apply my primer and foundation and use their Sheer Powder brush to set my powder afterwards. They’re delicate and easy to use, not scratchy and perfect for updating your brush collection this autumn.
One new brand I’ve tried nothing from before was 3ina and they kindly offered to send me some of their bestsellers for me to try. The Highlighter 201 was the first thing that caught my eye and it’s got some serious power behind it! It’s a perfect dupe for the Becca Champagne Pop too, which I also love. The shade is a warm gold, which looks perfect for autumn and it’s highly pigmented so there’s no missing the fact that your cheekbones will shine for miles! I love to mix it with my under brow eyeshadow for an extra pop of shimmer too. Another perfect autumn essential is their Cream Eyeshadow – I’ve got 313 which is a copper/brown shade and absolutely perfect for autumn. It glides on like a dream and if you just apply and leave it then it has a gorgeous shine. I prefer to blend mine with a buffing brush and it creates this gorgeous, deep colour that looks smokey and sultry. It’s a lovely cream eyeshadow – something I’m not usually keen on – but these are a big hit, and the colours are great for this time of year too.
So these are my Autumn Favourites for spicing up your make-up and beauty collection, and I’m pretty pleased with my selections! If you’re looking for products that won’t break the bank, but will make the world of difference then I’ve got you covered with all of these!
Will you be updating your autumn beauty collection with any of these?
