Too Faced Sweet Peach Collection

Since Too Faced launched their Sweet Peach palette last year I’ve been hooked. I missed out on the palette first time round – unsurprisingly because it sold out in super fast time. Everyone thought that was it – one of their limited edition palettes, never to be seen again for those of us to slow to get in on the action at the time…But we were wrong. Praise the make-up Gods! When Jerrod Blandino (co-founder of Too Faced) announced that the Sweet Peach Palette was not only coming back, but there was going to be a whole peach themed collection…well, I was more than in my happy place. And I was determined not to miss out on anything this time.

Fast forward a few months to the re-release of the much sought after eyeshadow palette. It was on online exclusive at first and it was very well advertised that the palette would go on sale at 10pm….10pm American time! Which basically meant that if you lived in the UK and wanted one you’d have to get up and log on at 5am. An un-Godly hour if ever there was one. However I was so obsessed and determined (imagine the determination of an athlete intent on winning a race here) that I didn’t care. I set my alarm anyway, got up at 5am, logged on and sat in a virtual queue behind nearly 20,000 other people. Yep. THAT’S how much I wanted the Sweet Peach Palette in my life. I’m not a beauty addict for nothin’ you know!

When the palette arrived it was worth the severely early morning because it was everything I’d hoped and more. The palette itself housed in the traditional Too Faced metal tin, and gorgeously scented like peach. Every time you open the palette the soft, sweet scent gives you an extra reason to love it. The chocolate scent in the Chocolate Palettes is one of the reasons I love them too – I’m a sucker for the way Too Faced scent their palettes.

Inside the palette you’ll find 18 shades along the peach spectrum. So this includes warm tones with peach, pink, neutral browns and purples. With a couple or earth tones too. Making it a really versatile palette. It’s got the colour spectrum to suit all eye looks from the brow-highlighting whites and shimmer nudes, right through those warm-crease-shades, and a pop of colour from the corals and peach tones. You really can’t go far wrong with it. Pigmentation wise I’ve always loved the Too Faced shadows because the colour pay-off is really high. This palette is no exception: the metallic shades and shimmers are intense – exactly as I like them, and exactly as they should be! A high intensity shimmer without a hint of too much glitter means I’m one happy lady. There’s also matte shades too to help with blending and shadows.

I’m quite outspoken about the Sweet Peach Palette being one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes of all time – you only need to look at the shades to see why…And that’s without the high quality and cute packaging. It was last year’s must-have palette and I can’t imagine it’s popularity dipping this year. Especially since the arrival of the rest of the Sweet Peach range…

After becoming quickly besotted with the Sweet Peach Palette, when I heard about the rest of the range I knew I’d have to extend my collection. The Sweet Peach Glow Palette was always going to be next on my list – because who can resist the most stunning of highlighters – especially in a collection like this.

The Sweet Peach Glow Palette features three shades for the face – one to illuminise, one blush and one bronzer. Meaning the three shades you’ll need for a peachy glow are all inside together. They’re all basically toned highlighters – so if you go for a matte look, then this might not be for you. But as far as highlighters go – this one is the dream. The shades go from cream-pink-bronze: meaning no matter how you like to wear your highlighter, or where abouts on your face you apply it (cheekbones, apples etc) then there’s going to be a way for you to enjoy this palette. You can mix all three, or wear individually. I like to apply the cream/ivory shade to my brown bone, centre of the nose and above my top lip. With the bronzer just below my cheekbones and a pop of the pink shade on the apples of my cheeks. It’s highly pigmented so you only need a light dusting for maximum shimmer and highlighting.

Again, like it’s counterpart eyeshadow palette, the Sweet Peach Glow is also scented like peach and housed in a matching metal compact with mirror inside.

I can’t complain about a single thing in this collection – it’s one of the few ranges that ticks every box for me. The creativity behind the Sweet Peach range is unique and this is something I love about Too Faced – so the concept is one I adored from the get-go. The quality that I’ve found to be consistent with all Too Faced products is ever present in this collection too, meaning it’s far from a gimmicky range, but rather it’s high performing and excellent quality – proving that fun collections have just as much of a back-bone as the traditional ranges on the market.

The best thing about the Too Faced Sweet Peach collection is that it’s now easily available! Meaning you don’t need to set your alarm clock for silly hours to get your hands on it. With Too Faced sold exclusively in the UK through Debehmans, or via the website directly, everyone who wants a piece of the peach action can now indulge in their make-up dream and get it…without waiting in a queue between 17,000 other people.

What do you think? Does the Sweet Peach range look like something you’d love as much as I do?
