The Kat Von D and Too Faced Better Together Collaboration Finally Arrives In The UK!
As a die-hard Too Faced fan (do you remember the time I woke up at 5am to wait in a virtual queue behind 17,000 other people to get the Sweet Peach palette?!) I was very excited when news broke of the Kat Von D collaboration. Kat’s been making BIG waves in beauty, especially the last two years. And Too Faced are one of my favourite brands – so I knew that the collab would be fun, fresh and very kitsch. Which meant I knew I had to get my hands on it.
Each set contains some seriously cute packaging and designs, and the products are perfect at encapsulating what the range stands for. The Better Together Cheek and Lip Makeup Bag kit contains a gorgeous heart shaped make-up bag with one side dedicated to Kat’s pet dog, and the other to Too Faced founder Jerrod Blandino’s dog. Which I think makes it cute and fun, and obviously totally girlie.
Inside the bag is a section of newly released mini pieces of make-up. Including Kat Von D liquid lipstick and lipstick. The liquid lipstick is in shade XO and is a matte shade of deep red (oxblood) and the lipstick is in shade Muse, which is a nude shade with a tiny hint of shimmer. Both are great everyday shades, and when mixed together they create a gorgeous deep nude that looks rich and textured when worn. I love the fact that the liquid lipstick isn’t sticky, it last well and has great colour payoff. As does the lipstick. There’s nothing disappointing about the quality here, I was hugely impressed.
That’s the lip side of things sorted, now on to the cheeks. This time with the two matching products coming from the Too Faced side of the collaboration. There’s the cute and very pink Love Flush Blush in shade So Happy Together, which is a peony shade with a hint of shimmer (very fine.) Then there’s the cutest little palette of Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder in Rosy Glow. Which is a stunning two-tone highlight with one white and one pale pink shade to create a perfect highlight for cheekbones to stun. I love this shade because it’s perfect for people with pale skin tones as well as darker skin tones too.
As my second ever experience of Kat Von D products, I am really impressed. I’ve been wanting to try the lip products in her range recently, and wasn’t disappointed at all. The quality is fantastic and the colours are gorgeous. And as per usual the Too Faced goodies never disappoint. For £33 you can pick yours up from Debenhams and I highly recommend it for all Too Faced addicts like me.
What do you guys think, will you be adding these cute sets to your collection?
