Happy First Birthday Roccabox!

There's so many beauty box subscriptions out there aren't they? It can often be really hard to find the right ones for you. I'm fortunate enough to have tried almost all of the current UK versions and a few great selections from abroad. Some have been a big hit, and others a total flop. That's just me being honest. But one I love, and feel is underrated, is Roccabox.

To me Roccabox get right what others get wrong. Their boxes aren't pricey - you'll pay the normal £10 ish depending on which monthly subscription you initially go for. And to me, £10 for a beauty subscription per month is a good price. Especially when it's a lucky dip as to what you get. Any more than that and you're going to have to work really hard to convince me!

Anyway, Roccabox recently celebrated their first birthday! Happy Birthday Roccabox! And their celebratory birthday box was a prime example of why I love them - packed full of goodies, it looked pretty and the selection was great. I need to say at this point: I'm not asked to blog about Roccabox, but I felt the need to celebrate their first birthday and let you guys know how great their boxes are. I'm all for shouting about the good ones in beauty!

Usually in your monthly Roccabox, you'll get five products. But seeing as this month is their birthday box, there's six items included and there's five that are FULL SIZE! How great is that? Not to mention exceptional value. I can't stand the beauty boxes that give you one full sized product and the rest sample sizes that you'd get free with a magazine or at a beauty counter. Roccabox don't do that and in every box you'll find a great mix.

Included in this month's box you find:

MUA Pro Base Correcting Wheel (£6)
I'm big into colour correcting and the MUA wheel has eight different cream shades to use underneath your foundation to correct any type of skin problem or concern. Products like this are absolute staples because you don't realise how much of a difference colour correcting can make. But trust me, it can.

Kawaii Enterprise Brush Cleaning Egg (£7.99)
At first I thought this was a make up sponge but it's actually a brush cleaner - how cool! You wet it and add your usual brush cleaner and rub your wet brush against it for an amazing clean. Nifty and quick and easy. The type of tool we can all benefit from having.

Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm (£4.99)
I've heard a lot about this and it's classed as a cult product for a reason. A great all-purpose product, you can use this on dry and cracked lips, on your eyelids and basically anywhere you want skin to be softer. A mini size that will fit in your handbag.

Bilou Cream Foam (£3.99)
I am obsessed with the Bilou ranges and the Fizzy Berry scent of this one may just be my new favourite. A body cream that comes in foam texture it spray on with ease and leaves skin feeling super soft and lovely to touch. Plus it smells so nice that you'll want to like yourself - but don't though okay?!

Laritzy Cosmetics Lip Gloss (£12)
A great staple for make up bags is a clear lip gloss and this one is perfect for slicking over the top of any lip product or colour. A quick layer of this will create a shiny but not sticky layer of gloss to add dimension to any lip style.

Laritzy Cosmetics Lip Pencil (£13)
A perfectly nude tone pink - my favourite, this lip pencil is going to be used a lot by me. I need all the lip pencils I can get in this shade so I was thrilled to find this in my monthly box!

So for Roccabox's first birthday they treated us well - with £47.97 worth of goodies to be exact! And if that doesn't say Happy Birthday more than anything, I don't know what will! Thank you for creating such a fab celebratory box Roccabox, and here's to the next year!
