Christmas can be an expensive time of year, and over the years as a single mum, I've learnt how to be a little bit more frugal. The joy of finding bargain gifts now motivates me with some of my Christmas shopping and I pride myself on finding a few select gifts that don't break the bank, but still make great pressies. So if you're looking for gifts that won't blow the budget, then hopefully you'll appreciate my top five picks - all of which are under £5 this Christmas.
Sweet Cecily's Flavored Lip Balms - £3.50
Firstly, it's one of my favourite natural and handmade bodycare brands - Sweet Cecily's. I talked about them a little while ago and was blown away with how brilliant their flavored lip balms are. They have all sorts of yummy flavors to chose from including alcohol specials like Gin & Tonic, as well as cake flavors like Red Velvet. What's more is that they're only £3.50 each - so you can grab a handful for all your friends, or as great stocking fillers. Order before lunchtime on 17th December for guaranteed Christmas delivery too.
Urban Apothecary Scented Candles - £5
Next up are the gorgeous and deliciously scented mini candles from Urban Apothecary. These cute mini candles are all scented with delicious sweet favourites, like Chocolate Brownie, Carrot Cake and Custard Cream. I can personally vouch for how amazing they smell - so realistic and utterly delicious. What's more is that they're on the Boots Gift 3 for 2 offer, so you can take full advantage of that and get an extra candle!
Bakedin Mug Cake Mix Sets - £4.95
While we're talking about yummy things, these are the perfect gift for those who work in an office, or generally anyone with a sweet tooth. The Bakedin Mug Cakes would also make an amazing Secret Santa gift! There's various flavors available, my favourites are Sticky Toffee and Belgian Chocolate, but they all taste scrummy! No need for eggs or an oven, just add butter and milk, add to the microwave and you're good to go - delicious cake in two minutes.
The English Soap Company Soaps - £2.95
Nothing beats good old fashioned soap, and the amazingly scented and beautifully soft luxury shea butter soaps from The English Soap Company are lovely gifts. The Guest Soaps are only £2.95 and the larger sizes (slightly exceeding the £5 budget) are £5.95. They come in gorgeous packaging that means they're great stocking fillers or additional gifts. I'm giving some to my son's teachers for Christmas because they're such high quality soaps and they smell divine too.
Ecotools Boho Luxe Mini Set - £4.99
For the beauty lovers, there's some amazing bits you can buy for under a fiver this year. But my favourites would be this mini brush set from Ecotools. I first spoke about the Ecotools Holiday collection here, but the mini set has remained one of my favourite bargain sets this year. £4.99 is a great price for two such high quality brushes, and it comes in the cutest packaging too. A total dupe for the MAC tribal range!
So those are my top five under five - I hope you've found some bargain Christmas gift inspiration here! Let me know which of these you'd like to find in your stocking this year?
