A Walk Through Illamasqua Chisel and Glow Gift Set

I've been desperate to try Illamasqua products properly for a while.

I'm always so drawn by their perfect looking goodies which always look absolutely fierce when I see them - exactly the sort of make-up that I love. Having not tried much of theirs before, I was like a kid at Christmas when I was looking through their current Christmas range. With some seriously seductive looking sets this Christmas, I struggled to whittle it down to my favourite, but I finally settled on the Chisel and Glow Gift Set.

With strobing being the latest 'big thing' in beauty, I've been looking for a complete strobing kit to get me started properly, so this seemed perfect. Featuring some of Illamasqua's best and most loved products, this three piece set has everything you need for chiseled looking features.

Included in the set is the award winning Gel Sculpt in shade Silhouette. Don't be deceived, this terrifyingly dark looking stick is actually a gel based formula, so it's no-way near the dark brown it looks. Which means it's suitable for all skin types and is very buildable. Classed as a contouring gel, apply this to the hollows of your cheeks to create the shadows you need for chiseled cheekbones. Because it's a gel based texture it's so easy to apply and blend, it's really lovely to use and wear, with high performance and lasting power. Perfectly chiseled cheekbones in seconds!

(Top: blended. Bottom: unblended and directly applied)
After you've applied the Gel Sculpt, you're ready for the Gleam Cream in shade Aurora. The most beautiful iridescent cream highlighter, this is so lightweight and easy to apply to face and body. Instantly highlight and create the strobing affect by applying to the centre of your cheekbones out. I also like to apply to my brown bone and down the centre of my nose. Combined with the Gel Sculpt, the contrast between shadow and highlight makes chiseled jawbones and cheekbones something you can easily achieve on a daily basis.

The final piece of the set is the lovely Round Buffing Brush which is the perfect tool for blending. Designed for highlighting, I apply the Gel Sculpt with my fingers then buff my Gleam Cream with this brush. It's gentle and soft, with a lovely texture and the brush itself is so versatile you could use it for blush, foundation and many other make-up application steps.

As with all Illamasqua products, these are completely cruelty free, which means beauty lovers everywhere can get involved with the Chisel and Glow set with ease. Not only that but the value of the products inside works out at £70, but combined in this set it's only £50, which is a huge saving to make on getting perfectly chiseled and strobed cheekbones.
