Nouveau Lashes And The #LashGang

Whenever anyone asks me what my favorite body part is, I always say my eyes…and that's mostly because of my eyelashes. I might not have the booty of Beyonce or the mountains of Shakira, but I'm pretty happy with my eyelashes. My natural lashes are long and nicely curved, so with the right lash products then I'm usually a pretty happy lash bunny. Which is why I was so excited to join the Nouveau Lashes #LashGang recently!

Tinder Tales - Observations Of A Tinderella

If you're single, or have been in the last few years, then the chances are that at some point you've downloaded Tinder and indulged in a wine infused swiping marathon once or twice. Somehow my fellow millennials (well done guys) have created a new strategy in the dating arena that showcases our disappointingly shallow nature and our ability to do the opposite of what we were taught as children - not to judge a book by it's cover. What's more, it's thoroughly shameless as well. The fact that my generation created a culture that required the creation of Tinder makes me a *little* bit ashamed. Especially now the app takes space on the phone of almost every single person I know, mine included. And it really doesn't fill me with great confidence for the next generation of daters. What developmental spin can they put on Tinder to outdo us? Terrifying really isn't it?!

How To Beat The Algorithms

I've been spoilt for choice when it comes to my latest Blogger Series topic, especially seeing as there has been some major changes in the social media world recently. But the biggest change seems to be from the increasingly frustrating algorithms that are slowly being rolled out across every platform and making life online just so darn hard. So as a Social Media Manager and Freelance Consultant, I feel it's my job to share with you guys, my lovely blog readers, what I share with my clients - how to beat the algorithms.

PMD - Microdermabrasion At Home

Once upon a time, I used to think nothing of having regular facials. Spending £50+ per session was something I had no qualms about, even though I also had regular beauty treatments for various other things as well. That all changed when I became a Mummy, and changed again when I became a single Mummy. It's hard to justify spending money like that on yourself when your income reduces, and when you have a child to think about. So, in the last three years I've explored various different options for skin care routines to keep my skin looking healthy - without the massive price tag.

What I Learned From My Make-Up Hoarding

So yesterday I decided to go on a mad cleaning rampage in Casa Del Lady Writes. As with all my impromptu mass cleaning sessions, I randomly found myself in the mood to declutter the house... despite loathing the fact that I knew it would use up several hours of my precious weekend time. (No-one likes that feeling right?!) Anyway, I decided to throw myself into cleaning, unaware that I would then spend several hours sorting out my make-up collection...

High End Cocktails At Home - With Funkin Cocktails

It's no secret that when I go out, I love a good cocktail. In fact, other than a good old G&T, cocktails will always be my go-to tipple on a night out. I'm more of the fruity cocktail kinda gal personally, but I'm happy to try anything once. In fact a Long Island Iced Tea is sometimes hugely satisfying after a hard day at work - and that's as far opposite from the fruity spectrum that your cocktail can get.  However, many a cosy night in has been ruined by trying to get the perfect cocktail at home - and failing miserably.

How To Afford Your Dream Trip

Have you got wanderlust? Or is there somewhere you really want to go, a place you want to visit or a memory you want to make in a far off distant country? If you're anything like me, you'll have a list of places - near and far - that you want to visit. But the biggest thing that stops people from actually taking that trip is the money. Lets be realistic, how many of us are fortunate enough to have bags of spare cash laying around? Nope, the majority of us will have to work hard to make those dream trips come true.

April Lust List

So, it's not often that I write a wish-list style post. Mostly because putting together all of the pretty things that I would love to own is like pressing my face against the shop window and almost *almost* licking through the glass. So close, yet so far. However recently there are a few things that are occupying space in the retail purchasing part of my brain... I'm literally dreaming of these things. So rather than a wish-list, this is my lust list. Because quite frankly, I'm lusting after everything here like I'd lust after a pretty boy holding kittens and helping old ladies cross the road.

Afternoon Tea At Sketch

So a while ago I first heard about Sketch in London. I didn't need to hear much before I was searching the internet for Sketch London reviews and soaking up every picture and article that I could find. Not to mention a full scale stalk of all their social media, which meant that I had instantly fallen in love with Sketch - albeit from afar.
