How is it possible that February is already over?! Where is this year going?! ...While I wonder at this and other mysteries of the world, I wanted to take the time to thank this month's bloggers who've been my February advertisers - they're all amazing!

Things I Wish I Knew When I Was 18

Life teaches us many things along the way, and I for one can say that the life experiences that I've had in the last decade have taught me many things that I wish I could go back and tell my 18 year old self. The most important ones are...

Mother's Day Gift Guide

Mother's Day is the day of the year that we all come together to honour the women in our lives. I don't believe it's a day only for 'Mums', but instead for women who've had any input in your life. Whether that's biologically or in any other way. It's a day for expectant Mummies, Mums of any description, Nans, Nanna's, Aunties etc...If a woman has had an influence in your life then Mother's Day is the day that we as a society honour that.

How To Build Your Blog Brand

Today's post is the third in my Blogger Series and is all about your brand as a blogger. If you missed the previous posts in the series, then you can check them out here: How To Write The Best Blog Post and How To Better Use Social Media As A Blogger.

When it comes to blogging, if you have a blog then you have a brand. It's right there already. It's not something you buy and then develop, it's not something that you only achieve when you've been a blogger for a decade or reached a following/liker milestone on social media. No, if you've got a blog then your brand is already there and all you need to do is mould it, and learn how to make it work better for you, and soon you'll see bigger and better results.

Here's To The Girl Boss Generation

I've been thinking a lot recently about what it means to be a woman in her late twenties. As I'm getting older, I'm more comfortable with who I am. I think this is because you realise that there is no such thing as 'perfect' in any sense of the word - whether it's how you look, or the personality traits that you have. You reach a point where you don't hate your imperfections quite as much, and you're  more accepting of them. Kinda like annoying TV shows that fill the time slot before your favourite program starts - you're never going to love it, but you accept that it's there.

Lady Writes Talks Jimmi Jamms

So you know how when you go to work, you have office attire? (Mine's black skinny jeans and a nice top with boots/heels.) And you know how when you go out for dinner, you have dinner attire...and night out attire, and Sunday best attire etc? Well, what about blogger attire?

Hating On Valentine's Day

A few weeks ago I was anticipating a three day mini break with the boyf to celebrate Valentine's Day. Fast forward to February 14th and all of a sudden here I am... there is no mini-break due to the disappearance of the boyf. Sad times. Although him doing one did prompt me to finally book my first solo trip ever, to none other than New York. So I guess I should be thanking him really...

My Designer Wish List

Being a lover of all things gorgeous - designer clothes, shoes and accessories are guaranteed to make my heart skip a beat. And for us non-celebs who have to save hard for our designer gear, nothing beats the satisfaction of finally holding that much coveted designer item, after months of saving.

I'm a sucker for designer bags and shoes. I have a list as long as my arm of high end totes, clutches, heels and flats that I just literally spend hours drooling over. And what's more, the list is always increasing in size as designers seem to be constantly outdoing themselves these days. Great for looking at - not so great for the bank balance.

Make A Wish Candle

Scented candles are my 'thing'.

I've got an addiction to my house smelling nice, so candles are forever finding their way into my shopping trolley/bag and joining my collection at home. I've tried all sorts - from the big well known names, to independent British brands. I've also got electric burners, wax melts, sticks, cubes, jars, pots, votives...you name it, I've got it. So I'm always on the look out for new brands to try out...

Valentines Day Gift Guide: For Him

It's that time of year. Valentine's Day is on the horizon.

The one day of the year that stubborn people refuse to mark due to being told to worship their partner for 24 hours. It's the day singletons of the world unite and enjoy vino with the girls, chick-flicks (SATC style) and lots of laughter. It's also the time of year when couples, new and old, panic at what to buy their loved one. Or liked one. Whatever.

Modern Day Motherhood

Motherhood is one of those things - you look at it from afar and have these fairytale images in your head. You imagine yourself running through fields of flowers, with rainbows and unicorns in the background, hand in hand with your little cherub, with nothing but the wind in your hair and a smile on your face.

Dollup Beauty

Until recently I had no idea what 'depotted make-up' was. Yep, I'm the girl who had missed a massive trick...until recently!

I love eyeshadow but always steer away from buying palettes etc because I end up only using a few of the colours and the rest go to waste - plus, having to carry around an entire eyeshadow palette is annoying and quite likely to get broken in my bag! So I was looking for ways around this when I started reading about depotting make-up. Which I now know is the art of removing make-up from it's containers - bingo! From reading about this (and watching a gazillion YouTube tutorials) I then found myself reading all about Dollup Beauty...
